Vastu for Bathroom

About

When constructing or remodeling a home, it's important to have a bathroom and toilets that are aligned with Vastu. A clean bathroom and toilet should always be placed in the northwest direction as this also helps in banishing negativity, in addition to all the other points mentioned below.

It is not always practically possible to have a bathroom and toilet that are completely separate from each other, especially in smaller homes or apartments. However, there are some guidelines that can be followed according to the Vastu shastra in order to create the best possible layout for a bathroom and toilet.

Importance of
Vastu for Bathroom

Direction: When it comes to building a bathroom or toilet, the northwest section of a house is the best location to do so. Avoid building a bath area in the south, southeast, or southwest direction, as it is said to have a negative impact on the health of the occupants of the house.

UTILITIES & FIXTURES: Mirrors should be hung on the northern or eastern wall of the bathroom as this is said to bring in positive energy. Electrical fittings such as geysers can be placed towards the southeast, and an exhaust fan can be placed towards the east or northeast wall. Washbasins and showers should be placed in the east, north, or northeast direction. If there is any provision to place a bathtub, it should be placed towards the south or west direction.

DOORS: Always try to use wooden doors for your bathroom entrance, as metal doors should be avoided. The door should be placed towards the east or north direction, and it should be kept closed at all times.

FLOORINGS: The flooring of the toilet is an important aspect to be considered because it must be easily cleaned and should be sloped towards east or north so that the water drains from these sides.. For taps, showers, bathing products, and accessories, the east, north or north-east direction is the best.

DRAINAGE: According to the principles of Vaastu Shastra, water outlets and drainage should be in the north, east, or northeast, and the slope of the bathroom should follow suit. The WC should be placed towards the south or southwest direction and when using it, one should face north or east.

COLORS: When it comes to colors, it's best to stick with light colors like cream, white, light blue, green, and pink. Dark colors like black, brown, and grey should be avoided.
